Notice of Public Hearing- Chapter 170: Construction Codes

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The County Commissioners of Carroll County will hold a public hearing on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. in Room 311, Carroll County Office Building, 225 North Center Street, Westminster, Maryland, 21157, to hear public comments on proposed amendments to Chapter 170, Construction Codes, regarding building, electrical, and plumbing codes affected by the State’s adoption of the Maryland Building Performance Standards COMAR 05.02.07 on January 1, 2019. The County is required to adopt those standards at the local level within twelve months of the State’s adoption.
The Commissioners may make amendments to the proposed legislation based upon the comments received at the hearing and may do so without further hearing. Therefore, it is important for interested persons to be present.

The proposed amendments may be reviewed and copies obtained at the Office of the County Clerk, Carroll County Office Building, 225 North Center Street, Room 300, Westminster, Maryland, 21157, during normal business hours. The proposed ordinance will also be available on the County website (https://carrollcountymd.gov). Both oral or written comments may be given at the hearing.
