NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The County Commissioners of Carroll County will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. in Room 311 of the County Office Building, 225 North Center Street, Westminster, Maryland, 21157, to hear public comments on proposed amendments to the Carroll County Code of Public Local Laws and Ordinances regarding Chapter 36, Personnel Policies. Specifically, the proposed amendments would a) clarify and correct certain obsolete language; b) removal of some sections to be incorporated into separate policies c) an increase in the amount of compensatory time employees are eligible to maintain d) increase in the amount of annual leave to carry over from year to year e) allow employees on initial probation to use annual and personal leave f) remove limit on sick leave usage for family sick leave, and g) implement an on-call stipend.

            The Commissioners may make amendments to the proposed legislation based upon the comments received at the hearing and may do so without further hearing.  Therefore, it is important for interested persons to be present.
