Westminster, MD, Tuesday, December 10, 2019 - Carroll County Board of Commissioner Stephen Wantz was re-installed as a board member on the 2020 Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) Board of Directors last Thursday evening, December 5, 2019. Senator Guy Guzzone installed the new 2020 board at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Hotel in Cambridge, Maryland during the MACo Winter Conference Inaugural Banquet. This is Commissioner Wantz’s second year on the board.
Members were elected by the assembled membership at the Inaugural Banquet to serve in the Association’s top leadership positions. MACo’s website indicates “a non-profit and non-partisan organization that serves Maryland’s counties by articulating the needs of local government to the Maryland General Assembly. The Association’s membership consists of county elected officials and representatives from Maryland’s 23 counties and Baltimore City.”
“I am proud to represent Carroll County on the MACo Board of Directors,” said Board President Stephen Wantz. “I look forward to continued efforts with my colleagues across the state as we work on the challenges ahead.”
