Temporary Water Shutdown for Emergency Valve Repair on Oklahoma Road April 16, 2019
Eldersburg, MD, Tuesday, April 16, 2019 – The Carroll County Bureau of Utilities shut water service off at 11 am today to approximately 23 homes to do an emergency repair to a leaking water valve on Oklahoma Road.
Homes starting at the intersection of Oklahoma Road and Carroll Dale Road continuing down Oklahoma Road to the intersection of Bennett Road will be without water during the shutdown. Addresses affected start at 5803 Oklahoma Road through 5818 Oklahoma Road and addresses from 5826 Oklahoma Road through 5853 Oklahoma Road.
Water is expected to be off until about 4 pm or until repairs are completed.
Once service has been restored, residents may experience cloudy water lasting up to an hour. Turning the cold water tap on and running water for several minutes will clear the lines. It is recommended that residents refrain from using high water volume appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, etc., during periods of cloudy water or low pressure.
