Water Main Break in the Vicinity of the Intersection of Johnsville Rd and Chatelaine Ct
Eldersburg, MD, 8:30 A.M., Wednesday, June 24, 2020 – Be advised that the Carroll County Bureau of Utilities has identified a water main break in the vicinity of the intersection of Johnsville Road and Chatelaine Court in Eldersburg. This break and the repairs will impact approximately 50 residential customers on Chatelaine Court, Chateau Bay Court and the adjoining private drives as well as residential and commercial users along Johnsville Road south towards MD 32. County staff is in the process of isolating the impacted service area so that repair work can be undertaken. Updates will be provided as further information becomes available.
System users may experience fluctuation of water pressure throughout the day. Repairs will be made and water service restored as soon as possible. System users may experience cloudy water as service is restored. If this occurs, it is recommended that cold water taps be turned on and that the water be run for several minutes to clear the lines. It is also advised that users refrain from using high water volume appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, etc., during periods of cloudy water or low pressure.
