Location: Shipley Arena of the Carroll County Ag Center

The 2024 Aging Your Way: Health & Wellness Expo (formerly Seniors on the Go Expo) is taking place on Thursday, September 12th, 2024 from 9am to 2pm in the Shipley Arena of the Carroll County Ag Center. 

This free event is a wonderful, fun way for older adults, people with disabilities, Veterans, and their caregivers to discover what is available in their communities. Everyone will find something interesting to do as activities include various screenings and assessments for healthy living, community programs and fitness demonstrations, three informational seminars, and an assortment of businesses and agencies.

Free health screenings will feature assessments of balance, flexibility, endurance, functionality, blood pressure, bone density, and grip strength.  Information on advanced directives, stroke awareness, medication management, oral cancer, and health and chronic diseases. The Sheriff’s Office will be on-site to collect unused and expired medications. 

Seminars include:

• Carroll County State’s Attorney’s Office sharing awareness of scams & preventing becoming a victim
• Carroll Tech Council sharing the development and presence of AI technology

Each Seminar will have a raffle drawing upon completion. Individuals must be present for the seminar to be entered in the raffle.

On-site Pickleball demonstrations by the Carroll County Pickleball Association! 

Enjoy Bingo from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm, where prizes will be awarded to the winners!
