If you wish to comment, please be aware of the following public hearing guidelines.  Thank you for helping make the public hearing process successful for everyone.

  1. If you wish to comment, please complete the salmon-colored card and return it to a staff member. 
  2.  Public comment may be taken from those in person and those attending virtually (a virtual option is offered when technologically feasible)
  3. To ensure that everyone who wants to testify can, comments must be limited to three (3) minutes per speaker. A timer is shown.
  4. Speakers cannot allocate their time to another individual.
  5. Your name will be called when it is your turn to speak. Please give your name and address for the record before giving your comments.
  6. Please ensure remarks are relevant to the specific public hearing topic.
  7. Please remember this is the public's opportunity to comment. Commissioners will not answer questions nor enter into dialogue. Staff will be available before the final vote to answer any questions.
  8. Obscene language will not be tolerated.
  9. The President of the Board of Commissioners will fairly enforce the above rules.
  10. This is a public hearing only. Following the public hearing, the Board of Commissioners may leave the record open for additional comment. The motion to close the hearing will indicate if the record is being left open, and if so, the motion will specify the number of days comments will be accepted as part of the official record. A vote on the subject of the public hearing will be scheduled for a date and time after the close of the public comment period.
