Westminster, MD, Wednesday, April 22, 2026 – The Carroll County Board of Commissioners is thrilled to invite everyone to the 5th Annual Veterans Celebration of Carroll County. This family-friendly event will be held Sunday, May 3rd, 2026, from noon – 4:00 PM at the Carroll County Farm Museum in Westminster. A special day to celebrate all Veterans, military, and their families. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend!

The free event includes live entertainment, food trucks and vendors, children’s activities, military exhibits, crafters, face painters, balloon artists, and more!  The Westminster Municipal Band and Midnite Run will be on hand to entertain guests throughout the afternoon.

New this year, thanks to the generosity of the Carroll County Department of Recreation and Parks, is a Gaga Pit!  Plus, a fitness challenge sponsored by Westminster Strength and Conditioning. A circuit of exercises to perform for time; all ages welcome to participate! The celebration will also feature a resource fair exhibiting many local Veteran Service Organizations with helpful information and materials for Veterans of all ages.

Beginning at 1:00, on the main stage, there will be a brief Welcome and Recognition Ceremony. This year, to commemorate the 5th straight year of celebrating and recognizing Veterans and marking the 250th anniversary of our great nation, all those who served in the Armed Forces will be invited to receive a certificate and special challenge coin.

Whether you are a Veteran, in the military, know a Veteran, appreciate Veterans, or just want a fun day with good food and great entertainment, join the commissioners and the community for this wonderful event!

The commissioners, with their partner, Carroll County Veterans Advisory Council, chose May, National Military Appreciation Month, to plan a celebration as a give-back opportunity to Veterans and their families, to thank them for their service to our country.
