MDOT SHA MD 26 Bridges Over Liberty Reservoir Project
Westminster, MD, Thursday, June 4, 2026 – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) is scheduled to host a public meeting for citizens to learn about a project to replace the bridge decks on the two MD 26 (Liberty Road) bridges over the Liberty Reservoir near Eldersburg, Carroll County. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Liberty High School, 5855 Bartholow Road, Eldersburg.
According to MDOT SHA’s Bridges over Liberty webpage, the public meeting will provide attendees with an opportunity to view maps and displays highlighting the proposed plans and traffic maintenance options. The meeting will include a formal presentation from SHA representatives beginning at
6:00 p.m. to provide an overview of the project and discuss important milestones, timelines, and impacts. After the presentation, SHA representatives will be available to listen to feedback and answer project-related questions. Your feedback will be valuable as SHA works to advance the project.
