Westminster MD, Tuesday, May 12, 2026 – As part of Carroll County’s ongoing effort to maintain existing road structures, beginning on or about May 28, 2026 between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:30 pm and extending approximately 5 business days, the Department of Public Works will be closing Hughes Shop Road at Bear Branch on an as-needed, weather permitted basis to perform geotechnical exploration at the bridge.  Temporary detour routes will be in place during the closure.
