VOLUNTARY WATER RESTRICTIONS LIFTED

Westminster, MD, Monday, June 30, 2025 – Carroll County, in partnership with Baltimore City and Baltimore, Harford, and Howard counties, has lifted the voluntary water restrictions, originally issued on May 8, 2025.
Earlier today, the City of Baltimore issued a press release stating, “ Thanks to record-setting rainfall in May—the wettest May since 2018—water levels at the Liberty, Loch Raven, and Prettyboy reservoirs have significantly recovered to near-normal levels. The increased inflow has restored water levels to near-normal seasonal conditions, prompting the removal of voluntary restrictions across the region.”
The Carroll County Board of Commissioners thanks county residents for doing their part in conserving water and reminds everyone that it is good practice to be mindful of responsible water use, year-round.
