Eldersburg, MD, Wednesday, April 30, 2025 – Be advised that the Carroll County Bureau of Utilities is investigating an apparent break in the force main that conveys wastewater from the Edgewood Pumping Station.  This pumping station is located at the end of Sussex Court in the Edgewood subdivision in Eldersburg.  Some untreated wastewater has entered the marshy area adjacent to the pumping station and will continue to do so until the break has been located and repairs have been made. 

At this time, it is unclear as to the extent of damages and the time parameter for repairs to be implemented.  Bureau of Utilities staff will contact the County’s Health Department and the Maryland Department of the Environment regarding this wastewater overflow.
