The County Commissioners of Carroll County will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 11, 2026, beginning no sooner than 9:00 a.m., to hear public comments on a proposed Ordinance amending Chapter 158, Zoning, of the Code of Public Local Laws and Ordinances of Carroll County.  The proposed Ordinance would extend the temporary deferral on final approval of retirement villages/retirement homes in the Freedom Designated Growth Area to October 1, 2026.

To comment on proposed legislation, please attend the hearing or email the Commissioners at commissioners@carrollcountymd.gov, prior to the date of the hearing.  The Commissioners may make amendments to the proposed legislation based upon the comments received and may do so without further hearings.  Therefore, it is important for interested persons to be present or send comments.
