FY2027 Recommended Budget Presented
Westminster, MD, Tuesday, March 17, 2026 – Today, during Open Session, Director of Management and Budget Ted Zaleski presented the detailed FY27 Recommended Budget and FY 28-32 plans to the Carroll County Board of Commissioners (BOC). The budget process documents can be viewed on the county website.
Next, the BOC will meet with any agency requesting funding not included in the Recommended Budget. Those meetings are on Thursday, March 19th, and Tuesday, March 24th. Commissioners will then deliberate in several budget work sessions and release their proposed budget on Tuesday, April 21st, at 10:00 am. The proposed budget presentation is open to the public and will be streamed live on the county website. All budget meetings are available for viewing on the county meeting portal and the county YouTube channel. In addition, all meetings will be replayed on Comcast Channel 24.
After the proposed budget is released, community presentations will be held at various locations around the county to gather public feedback.

A Budget Public Hearing is scheduled on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 7:00 pm. at the Carroll Arts Center located at 91 W. Main Street in Westminster. More information will be provided closer to the date.
Final Budget Work Sessions to adjust the proposed budget based on public input are tentatively set for Tuesday, May 12th, and Tuesday, May 19th.
The FY27 budget adoption is planned for Thursday, May 21st.
