Westminster, MD, Wednesday, February 11, 2026 – Due to a scheduled BGE power outage, the South Carroll Senior and Community Center (SCSC) will be closed on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. BGE is expected to restore power by the close of business on the 18th, and the center will open for evening outside user groups at 5 pm. SCSC will resume its regular operating hours on Thursday, February 19th at 8 am.   

During this temporary closure, members are encouraged to visit any of Carroll County’s four other centers. Locations and contact information are noted below.

To ensure continuity of meal service for SCSC members, the following arrangements have been made:

• Meal Orders: Members wishing to dine at an alternative center must place their meal orders by10:00am on Friday, February 13th, at the location of their choosing.  Links to the center websites and contact information are noted below.
• Take-Away Meals: Take-away meals will be available for pickup at the SCSC for members unable to travel to a different location. These meals must be pre-ordered by 10:00 am on Friday, February 13th.
