NOTICE OF INTENT TO PURCHASE

AN AGRICULTURAL LAND PRESERVATION EASEMENT

 

            The Board of County Commissioners of Carroll County, Maryland, announces its intent to purchase Agricultural Land Preservation Easements affecting the following properties through the Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation matching funds program, which will pay 60 percent of the cost so long as the County pays the remaining 40 percent. Dollar amounts are not yet available however, the County cost-share amount shall not exceed an annually budgeted $1.333 million for the total of 584.15 acres unless further public notice and Commissioner approval is given.

 

1) 9.9125 acres of land, located at 3720 Bert Koontz Rd., Taneytown, Maryland, 21787, from Philip and Rita Bassler.

 

2) 81.22 acres of land, located at 1873 Old Taneytown Rd., Westminster, Maryland, 21158, from Jonathan and Jessica Collins.

 

3) 43.529 acres of land, located at 6630 Keysville Rd., Keymar, Maryland, 21757, from James and Jennifer Deater.

 

4) 20 acres of land, located at 2126 Mayberry Rd., Westminster, Maryland, 21158, from Marc and Julie Fisher.

 

5) 19.42 acres of land, located at 3637 Old Hanover Rd., Westminster, Maryland, 21158, from Robert Houff.

 

6) 37.321 acres of land, located at 3528 Old Hanover Rd., Westminster, Maryland, 21158, from Cynthia G. Jennette.

 

7) 76 acres of land, located at Stonesifer Rd., Taneytown, Maryland, 21787, from Karen G. Sirian.

 

8) 182.219 acres of land, located at 1200 Stone Rd., Westminster, Maryland, 21158, from Francis Swift, Jr. and Susan Lynch.

 

9) 90.4588 acres of land, located at Locust St., Manchester, Maryland, 21102, from Three Russells LLC.

 

10) 24.07 acres of land, located at 2307 Uniontown Rd., Westminster, Maryland, 21758, from Maynard and Theresa Tiahrt.
