Discover what lives beneath the surface of Lake Hashawha during this exciting lake seine program! Participants will work together with nature center staff to pull a seine net through the shallow water along the lake’s edge to safely catch and observe a variety of aquatic creatures.
You may find fish, crayfish, aquatic insects, and other small wildlife that call the lake home. After taking a closer look and learning about their adaptations and roles in the ecosystem, all animals will be carefully released back into the water.
