Location: Room 003/Reagan Room of the County Office Building

In compliance with Land Use Article § 4-203 of the Annotated Code of Maryland the County Commissioners of Carroll County will host public hearings on Thursday, October 3, 2019, at 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm in Room 003 of the County Office Building, 225 North Center Street, Westminster, Maryland, 21157, to receive public comments on the proposed Countywide Comprehensive Map amendments.  The purpose of these map amendments is to implement parts of the 2014 Carroll County Master Plan and the 2018 Freedom Community Comprehensive Plan; implement the new zoning districts of C-1, C-2, C-3, I-1, and I-2 Districts and eliminate the B-NR, B-G, I-R and I-G Districts.

The Commissioners may make amendments to the proposed maps based upon the comments received at the hearing and may do so without further hearing.  Therefore, it is important for interested persons to be present.

              The Americans with Disabilities Act applies to the Carroll County Government and its programs, services, activities, and facilities. The proposed maps will be on display and copies obtained at the Department of Planning, Carroll County Office Building, 225 North Center Street, Room 106, Westminster, Maryland, 21157, during normal business hours.  The proposed map amendments will also be available on the County website, CARROLLCOUNTYMD.GOV, as well as the Department of Planning’s website, CARROLLREZONING.ORG.  Written comments may be addressed to the Department of Planning, 225 North Center Street, Room 106, Westminster, Maryland, 21157 (ccplanning@carrollcountymd.gov) and will be considered if received within 10 calendar days after the close of the hearing.  Both oral or written comments may be given at the hearing.
