Westminster, MD, Monday, February 12, 2024 – Due to inclement weather expected in the early hours, Carroll County Government offices plan to open at 10:00 AM tomorrow, Tuesday, February 13, 2024. The delayed opening will assist safe travel for commuters around the county as uncertain conditions are expected throughout the area.  Monitor for updates before traveling as the county will reevaluate at 7:00 AM.

Also:

The Resource Recovery Park (Northern Landfill) will open at 10:00 AM. 

The Carroll Transit System and Trailblazer will begin services at 10:00 AM.  

Please put safety first, stay off the roads if you can, and if you must travel, give the snow equipment room to do their work.

For those seeking shelter:  Human Services Programs (HSP) of Carroll County, Inc. operates a year-round night-by-night shelter serving individuals who are 18 and over and street homeless. The shelter is located at 127 Stoner Avenue in Westminster and accepts nightly participants on a walk-in basis starting at 7:00 pm with stays through 8:00 am the following morning.  Contact 410-386-6679 for more information and to learn about any changes.  Hot food is available. Participants must enter by 10:00 pm.
