Workshop: Homeowners & Stormwater
The EAC sponsor a public workshop designed to equip Carroll County homeowners with knowledge of how to minimize stormwater runoff from residential properties and prevent stormwater pollution. The workshop will be held every two years. The last workshop was held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Carroll Community College.
The Carroll County Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) spons a public workshop designed to equip Carroll County homeowners with knowledge of how to minimize stormwater runoff from residential properties and prevent stormwater pollution. The workshop will be held every two years. The last workshop was held as follows:

Experts had tables set up in the Great Hall and provided helpful materials and answers to individual questions on the topics listed below, as they related to stormwater pollution prevention. Each expert also provided a brief presentation (~10-15 minutes incl Q&A) on his or her topic.

- Rain Gardens
- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
- Septic Maintenance
- Stream Corridor Assessments & Tree Planting
Experts from the Carroll County Master Gardeners, Carroll County Forestry Board, Carroll County Weed Warriors, and Carroll County Department of Land & Resource Management (general water quality and stormwater information) also had tables set up shared information and questions.
This workshop was offered by the Carroll County Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) in partnership with the Carroll County Water Resource Coordination Council and Carroll County Land & Resource Management staff.
