FY2026 Budget Public Hearing is May 6th

Westminster, MD, Thursday, May 1, 2025 –The Carroll County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 7 p.m. to receive and consider comments regarding the Fiscal Year 2026 Proposed Budget. The hearing will be held at the Carroll County Arts Center located at 91 W. Main Street in Westminster. Doors open at 6:30p.m.
Citizens are encouraged to learn more about the budget process and view the entire FY2026 budget by visiting https://www.carrollcountymd.gov/budget. The public is encouraged to participate by viewing the livestream on the county's YouTube channel.
Comments must be made in person during the hearing. Individuals who are unable to attend and wish to comment may submit their remarks directly to Ted Zaleski, Director of Management and Budget, at tzaleski@carrollcountymd.gov or the Board of Commissioners at commissioners@carrollcountymd.gov. Comments must be received by Tuesday, May 6th.
Additional Budget Work Sessions may be held by the commissioners to make any modifications to the proposed budget based on the information received during the Budget Public Hearing. These work sessions are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, May 13th, and Tuesday, May 20th. from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. in room 003 at the County Office Building in Westminster.
The FY2026 budget adoption is planned for Thursday, May 22nd.
