Carroll County Historic Preservation Commission Seeking Applicants for Commissioner-Appointed Member

Westminster, MD, Monday, July 14, 2025 – The Carroll County Board of Commissioners (BoC) is seeking applicants to serve as a member of the Historic Preservation Commission (commission). The member is appointed and serves at the pleasure of the BoC. This role is a 3-year term.
The commission is responsible for reviewing and regulating changes to properties within the Historic District of Uniontown. Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7 pm at the Carroll County Office Building, located at 225 North Center Street, Westminster. Members have an opportunity to serve a second term if reappointed.
The Historic Preservation Commission regulations require that members have a demonstrated interest in or knowledge of history, architecture, architectural history, planning, archaeology, anthropology, curation, conservation, landscape architecture, historic preservation, urban design, or related disciplines.
