Carroll Transit System, operated by Ride With Us, offers a door-to-door service, called Demand Response Service. The pick-up and drop-off locations must be within Carroll County. Reservations for Dialysis, Radiation, Day Programs, employment, routine Doctor’s appointments and education may be scheduled for up to four (4) weeks in advance. Other trips or appointments can be scheduled two (2) weeks in advance. To schedule your trip, it is recommended that you make your appointment as soon as possible. Same day reservations may be requested; however availability is limited and space/time may not be available.

• The bus can arrive up to 15 minutes before or after your scheduled time
• Drivers will wait 5 minutes upon arrival - be ready
• Same day reservations are based on availability
• Exact Fare is required. No change will be given
• 1 hour notice is required for cancellation
• CTS follows all MD State Child Safety & Seatbelt Laws
• Must be 13 or older to ride alone
• All buses are wheelchair accessible

• $4.00: 0-5 miles
• $6.00: 5-10 miles
• $7:00: 10-15 miles
• $8.00: 15-20 miles
• $9.00: 20-25 miles
• $2.00: Seniors (65+) going to the nearest Senior Center
• $5.00: Dialysis clients outside of the Westminster area

  • Tickets are $1.00 each and are sold in books of 10. Call CTS for information on purchasing
• Fare Accounts
  • Replaces the need for cash and/or tickets. Accounts will be spent down as rides are scheduled
  • Funds can be added to accounts via:
    • Cash - available for use immediately
    • Check - available for use when the check clears
    • Credit Card - available for use immediately, 4% processing fee

All riders utilizing Demand Response Service must be registered with Carroll Transit System. To register, please call 410-386-5550. TT users (Maryland Relay) call 711/800-735-2258. Once you are registered, to schedule a trip for Demand Response Service please call during regular business hours and be prepared to provide the following information:

1. The date of the trip
2. Appointment time or desired pick-up time
3. The street address of the location the rider will be picked up from and the destination.
4. The desired time the rider would like to be picked up for the return ride.
