Function – Advisory - To advocate for a comprehensive mental health system for persons of all ages and to meet the identified needs of the general public & the criminal justice system for alcohol and drug evaluation, prevention and treatment services.  To communicate and education the community regarding goals, programs, facilities and policies of available county behavioral health and addictions services.

Qualifications – There are voting and non-voting members.  Voting members must come from various diverse professions including county government, education department, social services department, clergy, mental health professionals etc… Voting members must also come from past mental health service recipients, current service recipients, parents, general public and many others listed.  Non-voting members include the county health officer, a representative of a state inpatient facility serving CC, and the Director of the Local Behavioral Health Authority.
